Ben Affleck is a Misogynist

The recent exchange between Hollywood star Ben Affleck and writer Sam Harris on Bill Maher’s popular show has highlighted the fundamental problem of the ‘liberal left’. The crux of the argument rested on Affleck’s Politically Correct presumption that it is never acceptable to criticise another culture. This view holds that all cultures are equally valid and that persons inside the dominant culture – in this case a Post-Renaissance, post-Christian European one – may never criticise any aspect of another culture, which in this case was Islam.

Now the rights and wrongs of the argument are clear to anyone who watches the exchange, which is here: (http://youtu.be/vln9D81eO60) and I advise readers to do this. They will see that Harris maintained a reserved and non-confrontational position throughout, whereas Affleck behaved like a hectoring bully.

Affleck, while wrong, was only iterating the underlying viewpoint of the culture he espouses, which he calls ‘liberal’.

Debunking Postmodernism: exposing the lie

Originally posted 2017-07-10 16:26:23.

Postmodernism is an intellectual disease that strikes that the very heart of Western democracy. It was founded by the cynical French intellectual Jacques Derrida, an old-school Marxist who realised that, in the era of Stalin, when he was writing, truth itself was dangerous.

This was because Stalin, and after him Mao and every significant Communist leader, had embarked on a campaign of bloodthirsty political cleansing soon after they took power. Some historians estimate that Stalin and Mao killed at least 125 million between them, but this is  conservative. Martin Malia puts Stalin’s personal body count as high as 100 million.

Milo Yiannopoulos and the feminist harpies revisited

Some years ago I watched as a mouthy but entertaining young journalist called Milo Yiannopoulos was defenestrated, his career shattered. I was minded to write something about it now because of a statement Victor Davis Hanson recently made about how Wokeness has become the New Terror.

Milo Yiannopoulos was not destroyed because he is a conservative, despite the rabid political climate of the West today. His adversaries were stymied there, because Milo Yiannopoulos has gay privilege. He is in a protected identity class. So how did they do it?

Terror is the reality of Islam. We must name it to fight it

Originally posted 2017-06-04 11:54:39.

Last night, a group of murderers ploughed a white panel van into crowds of people on London Bridge in England. They then jumped out of the van and began stabbing people. This was a terror attack. Seven innocent victims died before the attackers were shot to death by armed police. At least 48 were injured.

‘Assailants drove a van into pedestrians at high speed on London Bridge on Saturday night before stabbing revellers on nearby streets, killing at least seven people and wounding dozens in what police suspect was a terrorist attack. (Reuters).’

There is no enemy but Islam: it must be named and shamed

There is no enemy but Islam and until we name it, we will not be safe from it.

This morning, the wires are alive with news of a terrorist bombing in Manchester, UK. Over twenty killed, scores injured. Many were children; they had just attended a concert by American singer Ariana Grande, who is popular in the youth market. But who on earth could have done it? Who can have brought this Calvary to Manchester?

The Red Pill opened my eyes — you should take it too

Originally posted 2017-05-18 10:11:06.

Until quite recently, I had no idea what the ‘Red-pill’ was. It turns out that this  comes from the Matrix series of films, in which the hero is given a choice: “You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”

red-pillOver the last 15 years I had increasingly become sympathetic towards feminist voices. They seemed reasonable. Women should have equal rights to men, shouldn’t they? The basic premise — of ‘equality between the sexes’ — seemed unassailable, and this was how the feminist case was being presented. Men, they said, oppressed women and this had to be changed.

Fair enough, that. Who wants to be an oppressor?

Feminism: a cancer that destroys our culture.

feminism

We in the West are lucky. We live in the most varied, rich and progressive culture the world has ever known.

This culture, which has given the world so much, is under attack. The attackers are a vile alliance of female, black, Islamic and gender supremacists. These are collectively known as the ‘woke’ Left. Their target, principally, is white men, especially Christians.

Feminism long ago stopped being about equality between men and women. In the West that was achieved decades ago anyway. The current fashion is to try to persuade us that there is no difference between males and females. The ultimate purpose of this is to replace males with females and, in the end, to eradicate masculinity. But this disregards the science completely, in favour of flat-earth concepts that have no foundation in fact

The Fall of France: Macron’s election and the Greater Germany

Originally posted 2017-05-08 19:33:38.

Yesterday, the 7th of May 2017, will be long remembered. It is the day of the Fall of France.

This is not the first Fall of France. In 1940, German troops stormed through the Ardennes, completely surprising the French General Staff.

Nobody who has read Chester Wilmot’s ‘The Struggle for Europe’ can fail to recognise the similarities. In 1940, the French Establishment was represented by octogenarian and even nonagenarian generals. Their incompetence was complete. Counter-attacks were so badly organised that battalions engaged on different days or in the wrong place. Communications were by carrier pigeon. The French armour, superior in numbers and quality to the German, was not allowed to operate freely and instead was used as semi-mobile artillery for infantry support.

The result was that France capitulated. That was the first Fall of France. An uneasy truce was declared, in which the Germans gave the French permission to govern themselves in territory not already under a German jackboot, but it didn’t last long; in 1942 the Germans assumed complete control.

Seventy-two years later, the second Fall of France has just occurred. Instead of dottering relics from bygone wars, fought decades before, today the French establishment is represented by a dandified fop called Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frederic Macron. This poodle sans couilles is now the President-elect of France.

Enoch Powell and the rivers of blood.

After yet another terrorist attack perpetrated by a Muslim in the United Kingdom, it is worth looking again at the late Sir Enoch Powell’s  notorious ‘rivers of blood’ speech.

Powell was vilified for decades for his candour and honesty, but who could read that speech today and not, while condemning some of the language, see how he accurately predicted what has happened?

The conflict Powell feared has but just begun. All over Europe, our culture and its values are under attack. The attackers are Muslims and they act in the name of Islam.

Thatcher, Britain’s First Woman Prime Minister

Margaret Thatcher at Torness

Originally posted 2013-04-12 18:18:43.

Margaret Thatcher, heroine of the Falklands, the scourge of the miners, the ‘most divisive’ Prime Minister in recent British history, maybe any British history, died in 2013.  She was 87.

Legions of trendy-lefty commentators danced in the streets, and people far, far too young to have any recollection whatsoever of what Dame Margaret Hilda Thatcher actually did, filled their Facebook drivel, er, pages, with claptrap about how much they hated her and were glad to see her gone.

Well, I remember her reign, and indeed it was not pleasant. But what is forgotten, perhaps wilfully, by those who celebrated her death, is what life was like before Thatcher. They forget too, that without her, a great part of what the ‘British’ now accept as normal, simply would not exist.
