Travestis: why do men like them?

Originally posted 2013-06-04 20:34:20.

Plenty of men find transwomen  attractive and will seek them out and even pay in order to have sex with them. Why? The travestis of Brazil and South America might show us.

In Brazil

Brazilian natal women are unquestionably amongst the most beautiful in the world, but South American women, including Brazilians, tend to be rather short in stature, at least on average. However, many South American men areDistintasattracted to the classic Anglo-Saxon standards of beauty—tall, slender, blonde, blue eyes, pale skin and so on. Enter the travesti, as transsex women are often known in Latin America and parts of Europe. With her naturally greater height she has an immediate advantage in this marketplace. If she began taking hormones young, as many do, there is every chance that she will be naturally pretty, and she will certainly do everything she can to maximise her assets.

Brazilian Transsexuals: travesti sex workers

Brazilian Transsexuals

Originally posted 2022-03-25 15:17:16.

Brazilian transsexuals, males who present as highly desirable women, have become a well-known phenomenon.  Many are gorgeous but very few think they’re women. They accept themselves as submissive homosexuals and call themselves travestis.

Their cultural understanding of how they desire to have sex and with whom, means that they have thus rescinded, effectively, their status as ‘men’. They have become part of an intermediary class of ‘not-men’ who are enabled to leave go their  masculine identities to adopt feminine ones. However the majority believe that they can never be complete women, and that those Brazilian transsexuals who think they can, are suffering from delusions to the point of having a screw loose.

I wrote this piece while I was researching The Warm Pink Jelly Express Train, which is about the lives of Brazilian Transsexuals. You can get the paperback at any good bookshop or via Amazon in your area: https://www.amazon.com/Warm-Pink-Jelly-Express-Train/dp/0956500722   You can get the Kindle there too

Immersive journalism

Immersive journalism is a development of the late Hunter S. Thompson’s ‘gonzo’ style, which revolutionised mainstream reporting and continues to do so.

In Immersive journalism, the writer makes no attempt to distance himself from the action; instead he attempts to get as close to the events going on around him and to the people he is writing about as he can. He is inside the aquarium swimming with the angel fish, not outside it looking in. But this remains journalism; he is always a reporter. It’s just that he himself is at the centre.

Travestis and traviesas: in memory of Miriam Rivera

travestis Rod Fleming

Originally posted 2019-08-21 07:24:01.

Earlier this year, one of the travestis best-known in the West, Miriam Rivera was killed in a manner as yet unknown. Miriam was a Mexican traviesa, similar to Brazilian travestis. In order to mark the passing of this beautiful but troubled individual, I am publishing this article about travestis and traviesas.

Who are the Travestis?

Travestis and traviesas are pre-operative or non-operative MtF transwomen; that is to say, they are feminised males who take hormones and have body enhancements, but they retain their male genitalia. They are found across Latin America and also in southern Europe.
